Who we are
CREST is a women-led, community-based organization dedicated to advancing the sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of youths, women, girls, and marginalized communities.
We are committed to addressing the specific needs people living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), ensuring they have access to essential healthcare resources, education, and support systems.
We promote environmental sustainability, sustainable livelihoods, and social justice, empowering women and girls in rural and urban communities across Nigeria
Our Story
Founded on principles of social justice, empowerment, and human rights, CREST has been at the forefront of advocating for safe abortion care, SRHR, climate justice, and the rights of minority groups.
We focus on supporting people living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) by ensuring they have access to essential care, education, and resources.
Through advocacy for policy change, and engagement with communities, we work towards a society where every woman, girl, and child, including those with T1D, can live freely, access necessary healthcare services and sexual reproductive healthcare services without restrictions, thrive, and exercise their fundamental rights, free from violence, discrimination, and economic marginalization.
Our team
Our leadership is made up of women and youths from the communities we serve. Our initiatives are directly informed by those who understand the challenges and needs of the communities we serve. This approach ensures that our programs are effective, culturally sensitive, and relevant to the populations we support.
Our Mission
We are committed to promoting access to Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), safe abortion care, climate justice, and social justice for women and girls. Our mission is centered on empowering vulnerable populations, particularly in marginalized communities, to advance and protect their right to make informed and safe sexual reproductive healthcare choices as a health right.
Our Vision
We envision a world where women and girls are knowledgeable about their sexual reproductive health rights, have access to safe abortion care, and can exercise their right to bodily autonomy. Our goal is to ensure they live in communities free from gender-based violence, economically self-sustaining, and actively involved in leadership and decision-making processes.
